I am currently in the process of adding madExcept (v. 4.0.16) to one of my home applications developed with Delphi 2010. When my app crashes, madExcept reports the host OS as Windows XP Media Center 64-bit even though the actual OS is Windows 7.
Is this normal behavior or am I doing something wrong?
madExcept 4.0.16: wrong OS reported
Re: madExcept 4.0.16: wrong OS reported
I haven't see that problem yet. Is it possible your application is executed under some OS "simulate older OS" settings, somehow? Could also have to do with the manifest your application uses (if any)?
Re: madExcept 4.0.16: wrong OS reported
It urns out that it was human error. Somehow, I had inadvertently changed a property of my executable requiring it to run in 'XP' compatibility mode. Sorry for the inconvenience.
