It's only dead if nobody is playing it! :D

A new version will come one day for sure. Too bad I'm more than busy working on madExcept and madCodeHook.

Still playin'

Post by Claes »

I know I'm still playing regularly... :D Still haven't beaten my own hi-score though... :sorry:

I'm also hoping for an update. They two most importent enhancements to me is:

1) Continious play - no need to exit program and start it again. :sceptic:
2) Hi-score list.

Hope you'll have time to do it some time (soon)? OR give someone the source, and have him fix it...?! #1 should be fairly easy to fix...

The source code is no secret. If someone is seriously interested in improving the game, I'm willing to give the code out. However, the changes should be sent back to me.

I'd certainly like to give it a try! What Delphi version was it lastest compiled under? Do I need any 3rd party components etc..?

If you are interested, you can send the project to cnorreen(at)hotmail(dot)com

Claes and I have worked on an improved Fruits version. Maybe we can release a new build this weekend.

I think Mathias got occupied with madCollection stuff... But have patience! The new version should be worth a wait: It has a highscore list and you don't exit the game all the time (continous play). Mathias also spend some time making the game feel more like the original Fruity Frank, but (in my opinion) we (he 8)) still need to fix some things regarding this.

This forum has email notification, so that you don't need to check every day!

Anyway, we're very near the next release. I've just sent Claes my newest sources for review. If he likes them and has nothing to complain about, anymore, we can release it, I think.

There are lots of changes: Hiscore list, different speeds, monster behaviour is very near to the original game now (= more difficult), a few (but not many) improved sprites, game over screen etc. And I'll publish a global hiscore list on fruits.madshi.net.

Hi Bart,

what are your thoughts on the new version? What is your hiscore?

Here's the current world wide hiscore list (only 5 entries right now):
