uall is right. If you just want to learn basic principles about how API hooking works, there are lots of good resource out there, which you can get for free. There's uall's hooking code, there's Microsoft's Detours, then there's a solution from codeproject or something like that. All free with full sources.

Basically it's the same principle, but madCodeHook is improved in several ways over Detours.

thats not an API hook!
its called hook but its better to call it "dll injection" method

works for win9x & NT Systems, but only for programs which handles Messages...
