Hi...

If I compress an madExcept2 app with ASPack, everything works fine, but if I'll try to compress an madExcept3 app, the exe won't be executeable due of an invalid format error!?!?

Any ideas what's happened here?

Regards,
Marc

Can you please post the exact error message you're getting? Please make sure you turn the feature "check whether binary file is corrupt" off (see first tab of madExcept 3.0 settings dialog).

Hi...

Ooopppss - it makes sense to switch off the option "check whether binary file is corrupt" and voila - it works :D

The (translated) error message sounds like: The file "xyz" seems to be corrupted! Cause, the error message was german and the ME3 options english, I didn't noticed any link between

Thank you for your quick answer - I love the new ME3 :D :D :D

Then winupack either deletes the header CRC checksum or it correctly fills it. Nice!

The data comes from McAffee security center. The file "winupack.exe" contains the trojaner (signature) of "malware" type "n" which is specified of class "spyware" with "low" risk. Sorry, but this seems to be the reason why it's freeware  Or does McAffee made a failure on detecting this as a trojaner?

i know that once mcafee considered my app as a virus (dont remember the exact type)

when i sent them a sample of it, they mailed me back that it was false alarm
and they updated they virus DB

what date is your virus DB?

Did you're the author of winupack?? If so, and you don't know anything about that trojaner, I'm sorry...but if my AntiVir detects a virus, I'm a little bit careful w/ freeware apps...

P.S.: The date of my DB is 2005/10/13
