Alexandria throwing AV in vclwinx280.bpl after madExcept install

Post by abh »

Bug report comes up when you load a project, and it doesn’t seem to matter if the project uses MadExccept or not. Problem when away when I uninstalled MadExcept. But I can’t live without MadExcept 😊, so I re-installed it and confirmed that you can click “continue” and the same error comes up again, but after clearing the 2nd error, everything seems fine. Of course it would be nice to not see these errors coming out of Delphi, so if anyone has any ideas what might be happening, please let me know.

Probably disabling "IDE exception catching" in the madExcept configuration will workaround the issue. See here:

It turns out I hadn't installed the November and January updates to Alexandria. Once I did that, the exception no longer occurs.

Thanks for your help.
