Delphi 10.4

Post by santiago »

Hello madschi,

Delphi 10.4 was just released.

Do you have an idea when you will have a madExcept Version that supports 10.4?

Will this also include the FastMM5 support?

Thank you!

Madshi has been quick to release a new version when a new Delphi is released in the past. Usually within a day or two.

Hoping he is as fast this time. I really want to try some of the new 10.4 features but need madExcept support.

Here's a beta build with 10.4 support:

New official build coming soon, probably next week.

I used the migration tool to transfer my settings from Delphi 10.3.3 to Delphi 10.4. As a result, when I installed the beta version of MadExcept, my Library Path had the folders for both Delphi 10.3.3 to Delphi 10.4 in it. I had to correct the Library Path manually, to be able to use madExcept.

Seems to be a bug in the migration tool? I'm not sure. I guess the solution for next time would be to uninstall madCollection before you run the migration tool, and then to reinstall madCollection afterwards.

I was hoping this week, but looks more like next week.

In any case, the "beta" version should be perfectly stable and ready to be used in production software. I'm not working on any bugs, just want to add some improvements/features for the official next version.

Hello madschi,

is there any release notes available for these beta versions? Is there any way to know what has been added/fixed?

Thank you!

Seems like madExcept component did not compile for new RAD Studio. I miss directory "BDS21" in madExcept folder. All other components (madBasic, madDisAsm ...) have this subfolder. I am using C++ Builder personality.
