Delphi 7 ?

Post by santiago »

Hello madschi,

we have now taken the next step in our evaluation and are testing madExcept in our products. So far everything is looking very promising. :-) Thank you for all your help so far!

We have one product that still compiles with Delphi 7 though.

I do not see any binaries (dcp's/bpl's) for Delphi 7. BDS9 (=XE-2) are the oldest supported files I found.

Does madExcept work on Delphi 7? If so where do we find the necessay dcp's/bpl's?

Thanks again!

I'm still using Delphi 7 myself a lot. The installer should detect an installed Delphi 7 build on your PC and install the necessary files. The binary files should be in "madCollection\madExcept\Delphi 7". Have you installed madExcept on the machine where Delphi 7 is installed? Was Delphi 7 installed (and at least run once) before you installed madExcept?

Thanks madshi!

I don't have D7 installed on my machine. We will install it on the machine where D7 is installed and that should take care of the problem.

Yep, that should do the trick.
