How to know if commercial key installed"?

Post by sanjayk »

I'm still using Delphi 2007 and MadExcept 3 (commercial). I forgot how to use the key that I got originally. I assume that the key file is used in the same folder as the installer. But how to verify if MadExcept commercial installed successfully? Is there an about box to verify?

Thanks.

The installer should show your name in the main (components selection) screen. It also show that you have a commercial madExcept 3 license. If it does, all is fine. If it doesn't, the installer should ask you to confirm that you're going to use madExcept only for non-commercial purpose. And then the madExcept exception box will have a clickable "non-commercial" link in it.

And yes, all you need to do is extract the key file and place it in the same folder as the installer, then rerun the installer. No uninstall needed before rerunning the installer.
