madExcept ExceptionBox does not show

hello,
i have delphi 2010 ep. i definitely had this running in the free madCollection 3.0 ...
with 3.m i raise an exception but the madExcept Exceptionbox does not show up. just the simple delphi one.
madExcept is enabled for the project and the 'application seems to be frozen' popup also appears/works ...

i need help ...
