DMI informations

Post by fsurfer »

Hi guys,

i'd like to know if any of you has some hint about how to get those DMI informations about a system (hardware stuff, software, etc.) ?

i need it for one of my applications...

any API function or link to documentation would be great enough ! :)

thanks !

Hmmm... This doesn't really belong into the "fun" forum...

Anyway, I've no idea what DMI is. Never heard of it.

hi madshi,

have you ever used aida32 ? or, if you have a MSI motherboard, the PC Alert III application ?

those useful utilities are able to list precisely the hardware stuff (RAM model and speed, etc...)

but if you've never heard of, no problem... that was just a small question ;)

thanks any way :)

Best regards,

Try the latest madExcept beta build:

http://madshi.net/madCollectionBeta.exe

Then compile a test application with madExcept and raise a test exception. The bug report should now contain a full hardware list in both OS families (win9x / winNT). Is that what you need?
