Installing madcollection on windows 7/delphi 2007

Postby sham » Sat Jun 26, 2010 7:01 am

Hi,

I have tried installing madcollection (version 2.5.2.1) with Delphi 2007 (on windows 7) using first madexcept 2 and then trying again with madexcept 3 (after uninstall) and I still do not see the menu option project->Madexcept Settings.

I have check "disabled packages" and there is nothing starting with Mad*.

Also I tried installing in c:\program files\MadCollection rather than c:\program files(x86)\... but this did not help.

I checked installed packages and there is nothing there (which I assume is fine).

Help..

Sham.

Tried to intall the fresh downloaded new madCollection today and got extracting Errors on Installsetup.
The progressbar goes to the 4/5 of a box then it talks to me:
"The file "madBasic\BDS4\madBasic.dcu" could not be created. Error message:"Das System kann den angegebenen Pfad nicht finden.".
I found in %temp% a dir named "$mad$dir$" with all things in there.
There is a subdir "madBasic\bds4" so what?
This is Windows 7 Enterprise with BDS2007 fresh installed.
Help is apprechiated.
regards
Wolfgang
