I set up my laptop from scratch over the holidays and had a problem with madExcept. I think I typed an invalid path for an install directory and then the file copying during the install failed. I tried again, but it did not ask for an install path and it just kept failing on the file copy operation. This was Win 11 and madExcept 5.1.2.
Where is the install file path stored so that I can erase it and try again?
I checked the Registry but must have missed something.
Thanks in advance, Rob C
How to recover from a failed install?
Re: How to recover from a failed install?
Sorry about that. The path is stored here:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\madshi\madCollection\(Default)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\madshi\madCollection\(Default)
