Trapping exceptions in services

Post by comvision »

I tried posting this to the madExcept forum but it said the forum did not exist:

I have a C++Builder project using madExcept and am trying to find the cause of an AV.

My service loads a DLL and the DLL is raising an AV which I'm trying to
track down.

My service and the DLL are both configured to use madExcept but no exception
messages are reported. I cannot figure out why ?

If I cannot use madExcept within a service is there a way I can manually
capture and report the problem ?

The old news server is closed, but I've already answered your question on the new news server.

Where is your response ?

I've tried the forum as well as news://news.soft-gems.net as indicated on your web site but nothing is there.

I don't know why I wasn't seeing them. I've deleted the accounts and re-created them. Now I have everything.
