64 bit support

Post by source »

Hi I read in the forums that you will be working on 64 bit support for madCodeHook. I'd just like to follow up on that.

When can we expect to see the madCodeHook upgrade w/ 64 bit support ?

I'm working on it. Can't give you a specific release date. The problem is that I didn't find any pascal version which is able to generate 64bit Windows binary code. So madCodeHook must first be ported to C++ before I can do the 64bit port. Right now the port to 32bit C++ is about 80% complete. Afterwards I'll do the 64bit port, which is probably less work than the Delphi to C++ port. I think a beta version should be ready in mid May or something like that. No promises, though.

hehe :)

some parts should work fine but 64 bit architecture differs from
32 bit (off course:) and it differs somewhat strange.
Basic software should run but madCollection off course needs a
conversion to 64bit.

madShi should/could give detailed info :)

ps: where did you buy this 65 bit cpu ?:)

just kidding

Actually I think the latest roadmap puts Delphi for win64 on early 2008. But FreePascal recently added win64 support.
