Re: IMEException.MailBody
In all our discussions it seems that you totally disregard any argument I bring YES! Your way of thinking is an egoism way. I want to live in peace and harmony. So I don't waste my energy with any kind of egoism thinking. I can show you how you improve madExcept. I can show you a way to lay down yo...

Re: IMEException.MailBody
I'm sorry, but I believe you're being a little bit naive here. Yes, you believe that. Like I told you again and again: Change your kind of thinking. All you have comes from god: Your body, your food, your brain, your education, your computer. So we humans should serve god. And you serve him, if you...

Re: IMEException.MailBody
madCodeHook by default comes without source code. Change it! The reason is that madCodeHook is a very sensitive product.[/quote] Secrets are only needed for egoism reasons. But every kind of egoism living does not get the most advantage for the whole humanity. So if you want to live in peace and ha...

Re: IMEException.MailBody
I would love to have separate installers for madExcept and madCodeHook Ok, but why? Why do you try to offer separate products? You could all place in one single folder - and use separate component tabs inside the Delphi IDE. The user/dev might even install an old madExcept version and a new madCode...

Re: Missing line numbers in bug report
Like you understood: madExcept is still interessted for me, since also EurekaLog is still far away from perfect.
But without a serious looking exception dialog, I will not try madExcept further more...

Re: Missing line numbers in bug report
In which way is the EurekaLog callstack more detailed? Togehter with the update to EurekaLog 7.5, I updated Delphi from XE2 to XE4. Today, I believe the more detailed information inside the callstack based on the Delphi update - not on differences between madExcept and EurekaLog. But I didn't valid...

I agree with you: This solution of EurekaLog is bad. Your solution is much better! ... I wanted to let you know this...madshi wrote:If EurekaLog does show a VCL form in a secondary thread, I can only imagine that it can't be perfectly stable.

Re: Best method for silent exception handling
It runs in that secondary thread.madshi wrote:What does EurekaLog do if the exception was raised by a secondary thread?
No.madshi wrote:Is your exception callback still called within the context of the main thread?
... and the exception dialog ("MSClassics") uses the VCL.
(EurekaLog 7.5.)

In which way is the EurekaLog callstack more detailed? If you want to get my assistance to improve madExcept, first of all we have to work on you kind of thinking. Serving an other is the way, you still didn't understand. Also you often are looking for reasons not to change something instead of sea...

Re: Missing line numbers in bug report
After running madExceptPatch.exe, I have a file size of 23,730 KB. My ready compiled setup program has a download size of 5,012 KB. If I compile my application with EurekaLog6, it gets a file size of 23,061 KB. The ready compiled setup program a download size of 4,675 KB. Now I tested EurekaLog 7.5...

Re: IMEException.MailBody
I'm not sure I want to change the installer. It probably isn't ideal, but it does the job, and it includes all the key file logic etc. I'd have to invest a lot of hours to implement all the same features into a "standard" installer, I like the InnoSetup compiler. But it does not create a ...

Re: Missing line numbers in bug report
I think $D is "debug information" in the compiler settings? In order for the map file to be "complete", the compiler "debug information" option needs to be turned on. Ok. I didn't found this hint inside your documentation. Maybe madExceptPatch.exe can give a hin, if I ...

I don't have line numbers inside my bug report, if I compile: dcc32.exe /B -GD -$D - "Project1.dpr" Now I have a file size of 23,257 KB. Inside the Project1.map file, I have only line numbers for this files: madTypes, madStrings, madStrings, madTools, madTools, madZip and madCrypt. After runnin...
